Unity Opportunity Challenge

 THE CHALLENGE:
Valentine's Day is coming up!
Think pink... red... love... hearts...

Time for an Ippity challenge and I just made it with two days to spare! I was making this for the Unity blog hop but I kind of went off in my own direction from what it had started out with. So, below is the card I made for the Ippity Challenge this month using the Be "Owl" Mine set (which is SO cute to use for making Valentine's Day cards). I bought a new embossing folder and I inked up one side of it so that it would "stamp" the paper that I had in-between the folder:

I then used some paint swatches that I got at Ace Hardware to add colors to the wings of the butterfly and then cut out the wings:

So here is the card all done! I think it looks really good because it wasn't what I was going for in the beginning. I used a white doily that I got from Olive Garden (of all places lol) and added it behind the butterfly. Thanks so much for taking a look!

Stamps: Unity Stamp Co (Be "Owl" Mine)
Embossing folder: Darice
Ink: Brilliance (Pearlescent Orchid
Other: pink glitter pen, pink jewels

  4. It's kind of like letterpressing, isn't it? I'm going to have to try that!
