Unity Stamp Challenge: Let It Snow

Christmas gifts and ramblings: I am finally done shopping for my step-daughter Ciara and I really think she will like what we are getting her this year. I really wanted to get her an American Girl doll because I had one as a child and I thought she would like to play with one also (something other than Barbies for once), but she is only 7 and I am afraid that she will be to young yet to appreciate an expensive doll. So while I was at JoAnn Fabrics the other day, I found an 18" doll that looks just like an American Girl and it was only $20. I bought it an outfit, a pair of shoes, and went on eBay to look for a cute school set (that was cheaper then the AG.com price) so she can play school with her new doll. I also found some free patterns for doll clothes I'm going to try my hand at -- I'm not a very good sewer so I will let you know how that goes. Hahahaha. I hope she likes it.

Unity Stamp Challenge: Let It Snow:  ... AND ... I am so very proud of myself; I have been SO frantic lately because I had yet to come up with a Christmas card to send out to people -- but today, I figured one out to make and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I was (literately) staring at all my scrapbook stuff in my space and thinking in what way I could use it to make a Christmas card. My eyes finally landed on the Martha Stewart's "Punch All Over The Page" punch. I only have the Diamond Rings Pattern, but after using it today; I will be buying more before Christmas and fast. They are amazing and I love them. (They are a bit expensive, but if you have a Michael's by you, then have them there and you can use your coupons on it) My only complaint about them is sometimes they get stuck and it's hard to punch down - I don't know how to fix that yet to make it better and easier on me.
But I have to say, I think that the design and idea of the punches are wonderful and it's so cool to have a punch that can go anywhere. Here is (one) of the cards that I will be sending out this year. I am going to dress it up some more and change out the decoration that is shown in the red piece. I used a beautiful Stampin Up! stamp here and it looks great but will use some other stamps later and use a white embossing powder - not like the one shown. Thanks for taking a look

And here is the card I made for the Unity Stamp Co Challenge and also for the Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge. This month's theme is Let It Snow and I really thought the punch outs looked like snow so here is the card I made using a stamp from last month's Kit of the Month kit.

Patterned Paper: TPC Studio (Winter Whites Glisten)
Stamp: Unity Stamp Co ("Take Your Time" kit of the month

  1. I've resisted those punches, but your gorgeous cards are making me rethink that position. What a beautiful effect!
