Growing In Unity: Hello and thank you very much for stopping by my blog- it is such an honor. All this week (October 31 - September 4) I have been chosen to represent the Unity Stamp Company and show off some of their wonderful stamps that they have; it is my most favorite stamp company, and I have so many of their stamps that I have been having trouble trying to find ways of storing them!
Please come by all this week to this blog post, because I will have new, fresh cards up that I've made using Unity Stamps and if you leave a comment, you might just be the lucky lady to win a wonderful prize from Unity. Again, thank you very much for stopping by my blog and taking the time to look at my cards.

DAY 1
DAY 1
Monday; Day One: I made this card using the super cute set "Garden Variety". This is the very first stamp set that I bought of Unity, and it got me into the stamping craze and where all my paychecks started to go: stamp buying! Unity teamed up with Cosmo Cricket and this set is SO super cute. It's wonderful for making a fair layout, a farm card, or whatever you can come up with.
Paper: Imaginisce
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co (Garden Variety stamp set)
Butterfly and "Smile" Word: Doodlebug
Metal ring: Making Memories
Other: Glitter pen, glossy accents

DAY 2
Tuesday; Day two: The last days of Summer is coming to an end here in Ohio. My dog Buttons, tried to soak up the very last of the sun that peaked into our windows today:
But not to shortly after, the sun went away and she got cold and headed back to the heater:
Today I used the wonderful set by Unity that is my favorite. The "Spring Unity" set is SO versatile; you can make all kinds of layouts or cards. When my friend had her baby, I made a "Welcome to the Nest" card for her using this set.
Paper: Basic Grey
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company (Spring Unity set)
Scallop Punch: Martha Stewert
Buttons: Making Memories~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DAY 3
Wednesday; Day three: Thank you everyone who has been visiting my blog and taking the time to comment. It's wonderful to get new people to stop on by and take a look at my cards. Today, my picture and cards have been featured on the Unity Stamp Company blog. So very exciting for me <3
I have been a Kit of the Month member for almost a year now, and I love that my favorite company has a monthly club. You get so many stamps for such a great price. And, if you miss a month, you can buy it on their site - how wonderful is that?! I used a stamp from the "To The Moon and Back" and "Savor the Journey" kits to make today's cards; I got the idea to do this from a magazine artical I saw in a European mag called "Papercraft Inspirations". They are hard to find, but if you're at JoAnn Fabric's, take a look and see if you can find it because it is an AMAZING magazine. The folding technique is called "tea bag folding". It took me only a few moments to learn how to make the small little squares into amazing cards, but once I figured it out - look at the amazing designs you can make:
Paper: Unknown (sorry)
Stamps: Unity Stamp Co. (Lovely You: "To the Moon and Back" Kit of the Month), (Hope: "Savor the Journey" Kit of the Month)
Buttons: Unknown (sorry)
Pink crystals: Crystal Stickers Elements

DAY 4
Thursday; Day Four: I never know what the Internet will hold for me; it's fickle (we "borrow" from a wonderful unknown source lol) So, I decided to update a little early today just in-case I couldn't make it online. I thought today I would feature a super cute Itty Bitty by Unity. They're are SO many to choose from; almost any occasion and style. And the greatest part - they almost always have a spiffy sentiment to go along with the itty bitty stamp
Paper: My Mind's Eye (Stella Rose collection)
Scalloped punch: Martha Stewart
Black pen: Sakura (Gelly Roll)
I also got to thinking; I decided to try something different with my stamps - I was going to bake some cookies for when my husband got home and though about STAMPING in my cookie dough (with a clean stamp). I made some suger cookies and used a cookie cutter to cut the circles, stamped my cookies with my stamp, and baked them. They turned out a little burnt because my stove sucks, but you can get the idea of how it goes:

DAY 5Friday; Day 5: Well today is the last day I will be featured as the Growing In Unity girl and I just wanted to thank all of you who've stopped by my blog and commented on my blog. It truly has been a wonderful week and I'm so happy that many of you liked my cards -- and my cookie idea. Please stop back tomorrow (Saturday, November 4th) around 2:00pm (Eastern time) and I will announce the winner of the awesome prize that Unity will be giving away to one of the commenters.
For today's card, I decided to show off two cards. One useing the amazingly super-cute "I Ruff You". It is really a great set to make children's cards with, or even a layout of your favorite pet. I know I will be using it very soon on a scrapbook layout of Buttons.I used chalk to color in the dog, and even added some flocking to make him fuzzy.
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Stamp: Unity Stamp Co ("I Ruff You" set)
Couds: Unknown (sorry)
Stickers: Joliees
Chalk: Pebbles
Flocking: Doodlebug
