GIU Day #4: It's been a hard morning today; my 15 month old is still breastfed and woke up three times last night to eat and each time it took almost an hour for her to fall back asleep - so I'm VERY tired and she's crabby from not sleeping well. THEN she turned over an entire box of cereal in the living room and it made a HUGE mess.

But, I did manage to make a card for today's Growing In Unity day. I really should have had everything finished last week in preparation, but I'm learning it's very hard to get things done with a baby (and yes, she's my first lol) The stamps are super cute and I love this What's Shakin' stamp. I used glitter as 'salt' and some "sand" embossing powder. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my cards!

Stamps: Unity Stamps (What's Shakin' set)
Patterned paper: Kiser Kraft
"Sand" embossing powder: Ranger
Glitter: Doodlebug
Other: Glue pen, silver paper

  1. Hope your day improves. A little one can keep you hopping. Enjoy her as they grow up so fast. I would scrap the photo and the cereal episode. It is now memories captured. The card is very cute. Love the stamp set you used.

  2. Cute shaker card! Love how you created the salt and pepper! Your daughter is adorable! At least it's dry cereal she spilt, my son got into the syrup at that age and I ended up with a puddle of syrup on the kitchen floor. You learn to move really fast during nap times to get chores done!

  3. This is SO FLIPPING COOL. Like super cool. Super duper cool, even. I love the layers in the shakers and the s&p raining down is amazing! I pinned this so I can steal this idea later, too. ;)

  5. Oh my gosh I can't believe you made that super adorable card while being mommy to a 15 month old! I have a 3 year old and 3 month old so I know how tough it can be to "plan" your day, or week! LOVE this card...and had to giggle at the photo of your little cereal thief!
